It was three days after Daniel had been admitted to the hospital and Dr. Stevens had said he could be released that morning. He looked over at the cot where Methos lay sleeping and smiled to himself. The man had not once left his side since his arrival. It gave Daniel hope that maybe they'd work things out again. He thought of where they might go because Daniel didn't think he could go back to his apartment given that Methos had killed Jack there. He'd actually been looking to buy a house up in the mountains and wondered if he could convince Methos to stay with him there if he did so...

He was brought out of his thoughts as the door to his room opened and Dr. Stevens walked in, holding all of the paperwork that needed to be signed before Daniel could leave. The doctor glanced over at Methos and then at Daniel.

"Shall I wake him or did you want to do that?"

Daniel let out several soft moans at each movement his lover made, his hands tightening even more into the sheets.

"Methos, please..." he begged softly.

He hummed sending vibrations through Daniel's length, moving faster, his hands running up and down the man's thighs.

"Oh gods..." Daniel gasped out sharply as he came hard, spilling almost violently down Methos' throat, his whole body seizing as he did so.

He swallowed Daniel down as he came, rocking up and down and sucking him dry. He loved the sounds he was eliciting out of him.

Daniel kept emitting soft gasps, his breathing erratic even in his exhausted state. He finally whimpered and moved to pull Methos up next to him on the bed.

Methos fell to the bed next to Daniel pulling him into a kiss.

Daniel returned the kiss and sprawled half across Methos' chest, the side of his face resting just above his lover's heartbeat.

"I don't know if I've said it yet or not," he whispered softly, "but thank you for coming back..."

Methos wrapped his arms around him, "Thank you for not..." he breath caught in his throat, "-for not dieing."

Daniel curled more tightly into Methos' arms and buried his face into the side of his lover's neck.

"You don't have to promise me anything, but just... tell me you'll stay at least for a while. That we'll at least try to go to some of the places we spoke of when we were in Morocco..."

He tightened his hold on Daniel, "I'll stay, Daniel. And we can go wherever you want."

Daniel relaxed into that hold a little and sighed softly.

"I believe I was told we could go to Switzerland and go skiing," he said quietly. "I'm not sure my health will stand the cold all that well, but, we could try, couldn't we? I promise to stay inside if you think I need to, but, you were a doctor. Surely you'll be able to take care of me..."

"Wouldn't you want to enjoy Switzerland when you were healthy enough to fully enjoy it?" He pressed his lips against Daniel's forehead, "But we'll go, if that's what you want."

"well, you spoke of somewhere else... i can't remember where at the moment, but there was some statue of you that you promised to show me..."

"London. The British Museum." he smiled, "And we can definitely go there. And the statue... well, as with most Greek statues, is a nude. I'm sure you'll be happy with that."

Daniel chuckled softly, coughing some, having to sit up as he did so until it subsided. Finally he nodded and looked over his shoulder at his lover.

"You'll hear no complaints from me," he answered. "Well, except for the complaint that everyone else has seen you as well." The last was said with a slight wink and a grin to show he was teasing.

He rubbed Daniel's back soothingly, as he coughed.

Methos chuckled, kissing him, "I'd like to see you jealous." he teased back.

"You may very well see it once we get there and I realize everyone else is looking at someone that's my lover," Daniel growled back playfully, laying back down once more.

He smiled, "And that's what I am, Daniel. Yours." Methos nuzzled his neck.

Daniel smiled softly and held Methos closer to him, tilting his head to one side as he felt his lover pressed up against him.

He kissed his neck, then shoulder, "Gods, I love you..."

Daniel smiled softly and slid one hand up along the back of Methos' head, fingers sliding through his lover's hair as he did so.

"I love you too," he whispered softly.

He rested his head there on Daniel's shoulder just breathing him in. He'd been so convinced he'd lose him. That Daniel would die with a tube down his throat just like Alexa.

"When did you want to go? Next week? Tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow? Really?" He looked at the older man curiously. "The sooner I get away from this town... this country... the happier I will be..."

"Then we'll leave tomorrow." he said with a nod, and a kiss.

"Thank you," he whispered softly, curling in closer to Methos, his eyes closing even as he tried to fight the exhaustion he was feeling.
