Traveling again

Daniel finished out the semester at the university and informed them, with some regret evident, that he would not be returning for summer sessions and probably not in the fall either. He was happy with his decision because he wanted time with Methos. He'd taught for a year but the whole thing with Brian had bothered him a lot and he didn't really feel safe out in the open so to speak; not that he was going to tell that to his husband, though. He didn't want Methos to worry about him.

He left campus and headed to the coffee shop/bookstore that his husband was leaving in the capable hands of his store manager until they returned to Spain. Leaving the things from his office inside the car, Daniel stepped out and headed into the store, searching for his husband behind the counter. The place was incredibly busy, as usual. Daniel's smiled slipped a little. He hoped he wasn't being selfish by taking Methos away from this... maybe he should have given this more thought....

Daniel arched up against Methos, groaning softly as he felt his own climax coming on even faster.

That was all it took for Daniel to finally come as well, spilling between their bodies as his fingers tightened along his husband's back.

"Methos..." he whispered, pressing his face into the side of his husband's neck, his whole body shaking at the intense emotions pouring through him.

His eyes closed as the feeling of happiness and pleasure rippled through his body. He pulled him closer, "I love you, Daniel."

"Mmm... I love you too," he answered softly, leaning back to kiss him. "Gods that was incredible..."

He rested back on the bed, wrapping an arm around him, "It was..."

Daniel shifted to curl up against his husband, resting his head against Methos' shoulder.

"I'm so glad we came here," he said quietly. "Something about traveling and seeing new places, it always relaxes me..."

"Hmm... traveling calms me too. The lack of feeling... tied to one place. Like we could go anywhere." he ran his fingers through Daniel's hair.

"Yes, exactly," Daniel agreed softly. "I don't mind being tied to one person, mind you..." he teased as he kissed the side of his husband's neck.

Methos laughed, "Of course not." he kissed Daniel's forehead, "Especially not if that person is you.'

Daniel smiled softly and closed his eyes.

"I'm so glad to be with you... no matter where we are so long as I'm at your side."

"Even Antarctica?" he joked.

"Been there once. I have no desire to ever see there again."

"So, anywhere but there, then." he nodded, kissing him with a smile.

"Yes... that would be good," Daniel replied, returning that kiss softly.

"Good." he settled back in the bed, "So, where would you like to go tomorrow?"

"Perhaps we could go into Corinth tomorrow? I'd like to see the temple for Apollo if that's all right..."

"Of course, love." Methos smiled, curling his fingers through the hair at the nape of Daniel's neck.

Daniel closed his eyes once more, just content to lay there against his husband, enjoying the feel of the older man's fingers at the back of his neck in his hair.

It was a few more minutes and then Methos was drifting off too, content in Daniel's arms.

Daniel slept well through the night and woke when it was just barely dawn outside the bedroom window. Methos was still asleep. He lay there, listening to his husband breathe amused how just the simplest thing could make him so damn happy. After a few minutes he softly kissed along his husband's collarbone and then drifted lower, beneath the covers of their bed, peppering Methos' chest and stomach with kisses as well.

Methos let out a small mumbling groan, still mostly asleep, but clearly enjoying what Daniel was doing to him.
