Traveling again

Daniel finished out the semester at the university and informed them, with some regret evident, that he would not be returning for summer sessions and probably not in the fall either. He was happy with his decision because he wanted time with Methos. He'd taught for a year but the whole thing with Brian had bothered him a lot and he didn't really feel safe out in the open so to speak; not that he was going to tell that to his husband, though. He didn't want Methos to worry about him.

He left campus and headed to the coffee shop/bookstore that his husband was leaving in the capable hands of his store manager until they returned to Spain. Leaving the things from his office inside the car, Daniel stepped out and headed into the store, searching for his husband behind the counter. The place was incredibly busy, as usual. Daniel's smiled slipped a little. He hoped he wasn't being selfish by taking Methos away from this... maybe he should have given this more thought....

Daniel returned that kiss just as roughly, thrusting against Methos' hand as he did so, his own hands tightening along his husband's upper arms.

Daniel gave a softer groan as he felt Methos let go and he pulled his husband closer, kissing him fiercely, hands sliding along the older man's back.

Methos rested his head against Daniel's shoulder as he caught his breath. He kissed the side of his husband's face.

Daniel smiled softly and leaned into his husband. "love you." he would have said more but he hear movement in the outer room. "I think breakfast has arrived."

"Love you back." he smiled, pulling away from him reluctantly to step out of the shower and grab them both towels.

Daniel followed him, drying off and leaving the towel round his waist as he stepped from the bathroom into the bedroom. A few moments later, he'd pulled on a robe and gone to check on breakfast, asking the man to set everything up on the balcony for them.

Methos soon exited the bedroom as well, with a robe of his own, walking out on the balcony to where the man had took their breakfast.

Daniel was already sitting in one of the chairs, pouring the hot tea into their cups as Methos joined him.

"You said surprise you so I went for the traditional Greek breakfast. Hope that's all right."

"No, it's terrible. Take it away." he winked at him, playfully as he sat down across from him.

Daniel smiled at him, shaking his head slightly at his husband's antics.

"So, how long did you reserve the room here for? I don't think I ever did ask..."

"Two weeks." he said, "But if you want to head somewhere before then, I don't mind. Or we could even book longer." he said as he started to eat.

"I was actually hoping to stay longer," Daniel said quietly. "It's more beautiful here than I could have ever imagined. Not that I don't love our home in Spain, I do, but I don't think I'm going to be ready to leave here in two weeks."

"Understandable. There's so much to see here. So much history." he smiled at his husband, "I'll go ahead at request to book longer tonight after we get back, alright?"

Daniel smiled and reached over to rest his hand over Methos'.
