Traveling again
Daniel finished out the semester at the university and informed them, with some regret evident, that he would not be returning for summer sessions and probably not in the fall either. He was happy with his decision because he wanted time with Methos. He'd taught for a year but the whole thing with Brian had bothered him a lot and he didn't really feel safe out in the open so to speak; not that he was going to tell that to his husband, though. He didn't want Methos to worry about him.
He left campus and headed to the coffee shop/bookstore that his husband was leaving in the capable hands of his store manager until they returned to Spain. Leaving the things from his office inside the car, Daniel stepped out and headed into the store, searching for his husband behind the counter. The place was incredibly busy, as usual. Daniel's smiled slipped a little. He hoped he wasn't being selfish by taking Methos away from this... maybe he should have given this more thought....

"I love you too," he whispered softly before kissing him once more, closer now to finding that edge...

"Daniel!" Methos shouted, coming violently himself.

"Hm... I love you so very much," he said softly. "Can't wait to leave tomorrow for Greece..."

"I am glad of it. I admit I was quite jealous seeing so many people staring at your statue in London. I suppose I shouldn't care, though, since I am the one you come home to every night..."

"No it most certainly did not. Something else I am thankful for as well." He kissed Methos back softly and settled against his husband's shoulder, eyes closing as he did so.
"What time is our flight tomorrow?"

---
Daniel was up early to finish packing and to call them a cab before waking his husband.

The cab arrived and they got to the airport with plenty of time to spare and soon they were on their way to Greece.

"You couldn't have picked a more perfect place," he told his husband as he wandered through the rooms, setting his luggage aside for now and heading out on to the patio to overlook the city itself.
