Methos kissed his lips, and then reached for a chain on his neck, pulling it out of his shirt. At the end of it was Daniel's ring.
"I buried you, like I promised... but I kept this..." he said, "For when you came back.."
Or as a keepsake if he never returned as he'd started to believe might happen.
